How do I cancel my booking and get a refund?+
Go to My Page β†’ Bookings, select the booking, and click "Cancel". Refunds depend on how far in advance you cancel: 100% refund if 60+ days before, 50% if 30+ days before, no refund after that (except for documented emergencies). Refunds appear in 5–10 business days on your original payment method.
I didn’t receive my booking confirmation email+
Check your spam/junk folder first, then verify the email on your account is correct in My Page. Still missing? Email ddong2@madeinpeople.co.kr with your booking ID and we'll resend it.
Can I change my booking dates?+
Yes β€” contact us at least 14 days before your experience and we'll do our best to move you to another date. For free changes, see our refund policy.
Do I need a Korean visa?+
Many nationalities can enter Korea visa-free for short stays (90 days for most Western countries). Always confirm with your local Korean embassy. For longer stays or work-study camps we issue an invitation letter on request.
My payment was declined β€” what should I do?+
Try a different card or use Toss Pay/PayPal. Most declines come from international transaction blocks β€” call your card issuer to enable Korea purchases. Contact us if it keeps failing.
How does the K-Buddy program work?+
K-Buddies are local Koreans who match with travelers for friendship and language exchange. After booking a long-stay experience you'll be matched 7 days before arrival. Most K-Buddy pairs stay in touch a year later.
Can I bring a friend or join with a group?+
Yes β€” you can add up to 6 participants per booking. Group discounts apply at checkout.
What’s included in the price?+
Each experience page lists exactly what's included (meals, transport, materials, translation). Flights, insurance, and personal spending are not included unless explicitly mentioned.
How do I contact my host before the trip?+
Host details and a chat thread open 7 days before your experience. You can message them directly from My Page. Hosts respond within 24 hours.
What if I need to cancel due to illness or emergency?+
Documented medical emergencies, family bereavement, and visa rejections qualify for full refunds regardless of timing. See our refund policy for the full list.
